Japanese corporation Orient Watch has been around since 1950. But founder Shogoro Yoshida initially started a wholesale shop in 1901 in Tokyo. He founded Toyo Tokei Manufacturing in 1920 and started producing things like table clocks and watches. The company shut down, but his wristwatch idea was reborn in 1950. Watches that the company hold close are their first one, Orient Star, Dynamic, Grand Prix 100 and Fineness.
